The RED KOMODO-X is a compact, production-ready Super 35mm cinema camera with an all-new 19.9MP global shutter sensor and advanced processing platform. Built on the DSMC3 architecture, it delivers up to 80fps in 6K, 120fps in 4K, and 240fps in 2K, with 16.5+ stops of dynamic range and REDCODE RAW support in HQ, MQ, LQ, and ELQ formats. The sensor architecture has been overhauled for improved highlight roll-off, shadow tonality, and motion rendition—ideal for action, handheld, and VFX plate work.

The KOMODO-X features an integrated locking RF, native Micro V-Lock power, 12G-SDI output, and a 2.9” 1440x1440 LCD touchscreen, along with expanded I/O including USB-C, timecode, genlock, and RED Connect support for live IP R3D streaming. Media is recorded to CFexpress Type B cards up to 560 MB/s for sustained RAW capture.
